Wednesday at approximately 10:00 a.m., the South Wales Police stated that they were notified of an automobile entering the water at Swansea Marina. A man’s corpse was recovered from the vehicle.

An individual has died after a vehicle entered the water at a Swansea marina.

His death is being handled as “unexplained” according to South Wales Police.

A spokesperson for the force verified that its officers and members of other emergency services were present.

They were contacted shortly before 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

Photographs taken at the crime site depict police vehicles and ambulances in attendance.

Additionally, an air ambulance and a police cordon were present at the site.

One section of the marina’s railings appears to have been damaged.

A witness said that a recovery vehicle arrived shortly before 1:30 p.m.

In a statement, police verified that officers will remain at the scene until the vehicle is recovered.

Detective Inspector Chris Evans stated, “South Wales Police was notified shortly after 10 a.m. today that a vehicle had entered the water at Swansea Marina.

“When emergency services arrived, they discovered a car completely submerged in water. A man’s body was discovered in the automobile.

“At this time, the death is being treated as unexplained, and inquiries are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”

A spokesperson for the Wales Ambulance Service stated that the service received a call at 10:01 a.m.

We dispatched four hazardous area response teams, one air ambulance, two Cymru high acuity response units, one duty operational manager, and one emergency ambulance to the scene, where we were assisted by colleagues from the Emergency Medical Retrieval and Transfer Service who flew in.

A representative of the Wales Air Ambulance also verified that a crew responded to the incident.

“The Welshpool crew was airlifted to the scene at 10:10 a.m. and arrived at 10:53 a.m. The crew departed the scene at noon, according to their statement.
