LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: All eyes are on the federal capital as the PTI begins its anti-government long march, which the party’s chairman has called the “largest freedom movement” in Pakistan’s history.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has warned against mob attacks, even though Pakistan’s highest court rejected the government’s request to immediately halt the PTI’s march to the federal capital.
Imran began the protest march with an impassioned speech in which he stated that the ‘Haqeeqi Azadi Long March’ was not intended to oust or form a government, but rather to liberate the country from the thieves who had seized power to have their corruption cases dropped.
This is the PTI leader’s second march towards Islamabad since he was deposed earlier this year by a vote of no confidence.
The political volatility in Pakistan has also contributed to economic unpredictability, with international rating agencies questioning whether the current government can maintain strict economic policies in the face of political pressure and upcoming elections.
The lengthy march began in Lahore at Liberty Chowk and will proceed through Ferozepur Road, Icchra, Azadi Chowk, Mozang, Data Darbar side, and Muridke. It will enter the federal capital after traveling via Kamonki, Gujranwala, Daska, Sumbrial, Lala Musa, Khariyan, Gujjar Khan, and Rawalpindi.

“The entire police is on high alert to foil the mischievous schemes of criminals […] Imran Khan has stated that participants in the long march will maintain a calm disposition “the CM referred to.
