Paul Pogba, who won the 2018 World Cup with France, was allegedly the subject of extortion by an organized group, which included his brother and boyhood pals, according to an investigation launched by French authorities last month.

They allegedly sought €13m (£11m) from the midfielder, who returned to Juventus during the summer transfer window and frightened him on multiple occasions, claiming he did not support them when he became an international footballer.

According to a source close to the investigation, Pogba confirmed to investigators that he had previously paid €100,000 (£86,800) to the organization.

It occurred after the brother of the Juventus star stated that he intended to make “big discoveries” that would cause fans and teammates to view him differently.

Mathias Pogba’s social media video promised to reveal “extremely crucial stuff” concerning Paris Saint-Germain phenom Kylian Mbappe, along with “ethics” concerns about Pogba’s agent Rafaela Pimentel.
