Israeli Soldier Killed in Ground Assault
A soldier from Israel was killed during a ground assault into the Gaza Strip, which is under the control of Hamas.
On Sunday, an anti-tank missile claimed the life of one soldier. The Israeli military reports that two others were “lightly injured,” and one was “moderately injured.”
Hamas’ al Qassam Brigades claimed destroying Israeli military equipment east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
According to a statement, combatants engaged the infiltrating force, resulting in the destruction of two bulldozers and a tank, and compelled the Israeli forces to withdraw before their secure return to base.

In anticipation of a ground invasion, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have conducted “limited” raids throughout the Gaza Strip to clear the area and gather intelligence on Hamas’s detainees and missing persons.

Netanyahu demands that Hezbollah be “crippled.”
Israel’s president, Netanyahu, has threatened annihilation for any organization that joins the conflict.
On Sunday, while visiting northern troops, he cautioned Hezbollah against committing “the greatest error of its life.”
“We shall incapacitate it with an unfathomable force, and the repercussions for both it and the Lebanese state will be catastrophic,” declared the prime minister.
Hamas, meanwhile, announced in a statement published on Sunday that a call had been organized by its leader and the foreign minister of Iran to deliberate on strategies to halt what Israel termed “brutal crimes” in Gaza.
Preparations for a Ground Assault
Israel strictly limits civilian casualties while attacking Hamas positions in the densely populated Gaza Strip.
Since then, 4,651 people have died and 14,245 injured in the enclave, according to the Gaza health ministry.
In order to minimize the risk to Israeli forces in the next phase of the conflict, Israeli airstrikes have increased, according to IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari.
