President Joe Biden of the United States stated that the Hamas rocket attack claimed the lives of at least fourteen Americans and that he was delivering additional military aid to Israel, including interceptors and ammunition to resupply the Iron Dome defense system.

He vowed to ensure that the Israelis have the means to defend themselves and insisted that the United States “has Israel’s back” while labeling the Hamas rocket attack an “act of pure evil.”

An “extensive attack against terror targets” is being conducted by the Israeli air force in the Gaza Strip, the military said, in retaliation for the militant group’s deadly rocket attack.
