Israel says around 150 troops and civilians were kidnapped in Gaza during the missile attack on Saturday.
A defense official from the US stated: “We have US Central Command, US Special Operations Command, and Joint Special Operations Command offering support to Israel on hostage rescue planning/intelligence support.”
The official clarified, however, that no US ground forces are involved in the plans for Israel or Gaza. “This offer is with Israel taking the lead, and this isn’t US boots on the ground.”

Hamas also threatens to execute a captive if Israel launches an airstrike without warning, preventing civilians from fleeing.
