- Prominent hip hop artist’s break.
Drake, the rapper, has declared his intention to pause his musical career, stating, “My primary concern is my health.
The Grammy winner revealed hours after the release of his new album, For All The Dogs, that he has suffered from gastrointestinal problems for years.
He stated on his radio programme on Friday, “I’m gonna be honest: I probably won’t be making music for a while.”
A number of forthcoming performances have been rescheduled in consequence of his declaration.

I must prioritise my health above all else; I will elaborate on that in due course,” the Hotline Bling rapper stated.
“Nothing crazy, but just like, you know, I want people to be healthy in life. And I’ve been having the craziest problems for years with my stomach.”
“For the time being, I intend to secure the studio entrance with a lock,” he announced on his SiriusXM programme, Table For One.
“Not even the term “little amount” occurs to me. Perhaps a year or the like. Possibly a bit longer.”
Later, he uploaded an Instagram video featuring the radio segment, in which he informed his 143 million followers, “See you when I see you.”
His birthplace of Toronto will serve as the setting for his concerts on Friday and Saturday evenings.
Subsequent performances have been rescheduled, as stated in the tour section of his official website.
Additionally, Columbus, Ohio, New Orleans, Denver, and New Orleans were all on his itinerary.
Drake joins a number of musicians who have recently cancelled tour dates or suspended their activities due to health concerns.
Madonna declared in July that she was delaying her tour by three months, citing a severe bacterial infection that had landed her in the hospital the previous month.
Bruce Springsteen announced his decision to delay his September tour dates last month, citing a peptic ulcer, a condition characterised by inflammation of the small intestine or stomach lining.
Drake, age 36, has emerged as one of the most popular hip hop artists.
His five-year-old son illustrates the cover of his most recent studio album. He also appears in the music video for the single track “8AM in Charlotte.”
His compilation of poetry was published earlier this year.
