Before headlining Download, Metallica’s 1991 self-titled album, 1996’s Load, and 2008’s Death Magnetic topped the charts.

The Scotsman joins David Bowie, Beyoncé, and the Bee Gees with five number-one songs.

“Thank you to everyone who purchased or streamed the song, and best wishes for the future,” said Capaldi, who recently revealed on stage that he has Tourette’s. “To all my enemies, I hope you perish in the flames…”

Lewis Capaldi revealed in the recent Netflix documentary Lewis Capaldi: How I Feel Now how the phenomenal success of his 2019 debut album had affected his mental health.

“The first album was as close to a dream come true as it was possible to get,” he said. “However, as soon as the first album is successful, the question arises: can he do it again?”
