Wednesday, Cheshire Police became aware of a video circulating on social media, adding that investigations into the incident are in their “infancy” and no arrests have been made at this time.
Kyle Walker, a footballer for Manchester City and England, is under investigation for alleged indecent exposure in a Wilmslow tavern.
Cheshire Police stated that officers were investigating the incident after a video was shared on social media.
The alleged incident allegedly occurred in a pub on Sunday following City’s 2-0 Premier League victory over Newcastle.
A statement from police said: “On Wednesday 8 March, Cheshire police was made aware of a video circulating on social media about an indecent exposure which allegedly occurred in the Wilmslow area.
“Investigations into the incident are in their infancy, and no arrests have been made as of yet.”
The Sun published pub security camera footage in which it claims to see Walker yank down his tracksuit bottoms.
According to the newspaper, the 32-year-old was drinking with companions at a Manchester bar.
City, who granted their players two days off following their victory over Newcastle, has declined to comment.
Walker, according to the PA news agency, disputes the allegations and reported for training as usual after the two-day hiatus.
Walker’s representatives have been contacted for comment.
