Large sandstone slabs have fallen from a former bank building in Thurso onto the road and pavement.
After the incident early Monday morning, the town center in the Scottish Highlands was cordoned off.
At approximately 3:35 a.m., according to Police Scotland, officers were dispatched to the former Clydesdale Bank building on Traill Street.

A substantial portion of the building’s exterior is missing along its roofline, and the road below is littered with debris.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland stated, “The road is currently closed while arrangements are made for debris removal.”
