- Dog Owner’s Responsibility and Subsequent Attacks
A girl of 11 years old who was attacked by a dog in Birmingham has backed efforts to ban American bully XL canines.
Saturday in Bordesley Green, Ana Paun was “terrified” and “screaming for help” when a dog grabbed her, according to her account.
Two men who intervened were also hospitalized after being mauled by the animal, which was a bully XL x Staffordshire Bull Terrier hybrid.
Ana’s mother said she thanked God her daughter was alive.
The spokesperson for the prime minister stated that the attack was shocking and that the government was treating it very seriously.
Ana was admitted to the hospital on Saturday night and discharged on Sunday evening.
She was out shopping with her 18-year-old sister when she spotted the dog in the street.
“The dog was staring at me, which frightened me, so I began to flee,” she explained, adding that she felt “extremely panicked” as she fled.
“The dog grabbed my hand and began to move me,” she explained.
“I was terrified. And I was yelling for assistance but was helpless.
“I was being attacked, and it hurt.”
Someone took him from my grasp, then climbed on my shoulder and assaulted it.
“I believe someone hit him with a scooter, and I ran into the store after getting up.”
Ana appreciates her rescuers, but she thinks the dog’s owner should have done more.
I believe that all of these bulldogs should be prohibited.
According to the West Midlands Police, Ana was injured after the powerful animal escaped from its owner.
After the initial assault, the dog chased a 20-year-old man across a garage forecourt before attacking him.
He was taken to the hospital with forearm bite wounds, scrapes, and bruises from being pulled, police said.
Another male injured by the animal sought medical treatment at the hospital.
