- X (formerly Twitter) experienced a global outage Thursday afternoon
- Users in North America, the UK, and Europe reported issues
- Most problems involved content loading on the mobile app
On Thursday, X (previously Twitter) appeared to experience an outage, with users worldwide reporting troubles.
Issues began at about 3.45 pm Eastern Time, affecting people in North America, the United Kingdom, and Europe attempting to use Elon Musk’s social media site.

Tens of thousands of people reported problems on the website Downdetector, which is likely an underestimate of the actual number of users affected.

The most common complaints were about content loading troubles on the mobile app, but problems appear to exist on the website as well.
It comes almost exactly 24 hours after Reddit experienced an outage.
Some users who still had access to X this afternoon joked that Brazil was responsible for the outage.
Musk has been insulting Brazilian officials on the site over censorship issues.
