Kyle Sinckler was recalled by England as Eddie Jones revealed a 36-man squad for the fall internationals. Quins wing Cadan Murley received his first call-up, although Henry Slade was left out.
Eddie Jones has also welcomed back scrum-half Raffi Quirke, three-quarter Max Malins, and prop Val Rapava Ruskin for the upcoming fall season.
The England tighthead prop was left behind to heal from a back ailment during the summer tour to Australia and was not included in a September training squad, but was rewarded for his return by Eddie Jones. Will Stuart, who filled in for Sinckler in Australia, has been ruled out of the team after suffering a knee injury on Saturday.
On Monday, the squad will assemble for a pre-autumn international training in Jersey. England’s four matches begin at Twickenham on November 6 against Argentina.
Jones stated, “This is a very robust and powerful side, and several talented players have been omitted.” We are satisfied with the squad’s depth and strength.
The autumn internationals will be like a mini Rugby World Cup for us, beginning with two difficult games against Argentina and Japan that mimic our Pool schedule for next year’s competition.
“Thereafter, we’ll face New Zealand and South Africa in knockout-style matches — all four games will be tremendous challenges for us.
