Despite the allegations of improper conduct against him, Christian Horner remains confident that he will continue as the team principal of Red Bull Racing. Horner has affirmed his commitment to the team and denies any wrongdoing.

Thursday saw the unveiling of Red Bull Racing’s 2024 car at their Milton Keynes headquarters, marking Horner’s first public appearance since the investigation began on 5 February following a female employee’s claim of his “controlling” behaviour.

Horner’s future as team principal and CEO remains uncertain amid the ongoing independent investigation, despite his denial of the allegations. However, when asked if he expected to be at the season opener in Bahrain on March 2, Horner confidently answered “yes”.

Having joined Red Bull in 2005, the year it was founded, Horner has been integral to its success, contributing to seven drivers’ world championships, six constructors’ world championships, and 113 race victories. He remains focused on the future, despite the ongoing investigation initiated by Red Bull GmbH after a complaint by a female staff member.

Investigation Challenges Horner’s Leadership

The investigation, led by an external barrister, is taken very seriously by Red Bull GmbH, aiming for a swift conclusion. The identity of the complainant has not been disclosed, and they have not made any public comments.

Horner, who has not been suspended, continues to work from his Milton Keynes office, appreciating the team’s support. He believes the investigation will clear him of all allegations.

The investigation’s progress and timeframe remain uncertain, with potential implications for the season’s start. Horner’s supporters suggest the inquiry might be part of a power struggle within the team.

Horner says Red Bull’s togetherness and talent are its strengths, despite the problems. Red Bull is poised for another successful season with the RB20 car, under Horner’s experienced leadership.
