After defeating West Indies by 17 runs in Bridgetown, England’s women added a Twenty20 series success to their 3-0 victory in one-day international play.
Heather Knight, captain of England, won the toss and opted to bat, scoring 43 runs off 27 balls with the help of Sophie Dunkley, who smashed six fours before being run out for 44.
England was six down for 157 at the change at Kensington Oval, with West Indies needing to score 7.85 runs per over to tie. Hayley Matthews did her best to lead the team, scoring 35 runs off 31 balls before being stumped by Amy Jones, the England wicketkeeper.
Rashada Williams, batting at No. 4, steadied the ship with her team on 63 for two, smashing 38 off 29 balls before being bowled leg before by Sophie Ecclestone.
As the hosts lost eight wickets on route to a total score of 140, all-rounder Charlie Dean claimed a double-wicket maiden as part of her four-wicket haul.
On Thursday, the last match of the series will be played on the same field.
