England advances to Sunday’s final against Pakistan thanks to a brilliant effort by Jos Buttler and Alex Hales, which prevents India from taking a single wicket.
England has qualified for the T20 World Cup final after defeating India by ten wickets.
Jos Buttler (80) and Alex Hales (86) was the best partnership in the history of the competition as England reached 170 without losing a wicket.
The duo hunted down the 169 mark in an amazing manner to secure a position in Sunday’s championship match.
Hales reached fifty in 28 deliveries and ended up hitting seven sixes, but Buttler reached fifty in 36 deliveries and sealed the victory with a six.
England triumphed with four overs remaining.
India’s innings at the Adelaide Oval concluded with a score of 168/6 after Hardik Pandya scored 63 off 33 balls, including five sixes. However, it was insufficient to set up a match against Pakistan’s closest rivals.
England advanced to the semifinals after defeating Sri Lanka with two balls remaining.
Now, though, they will travel to Melbourne with confidence, hoping to reclaim the title they last won in 2010.
Pakistan advanced to the final after a convincing victory over New Zealand on Wednesday.
This week, England will compete in two World Cup finals, as the women’s rugby union squad will face the defending champions and hosts New Zealand on Saturday.
