The assault after Nottingham Forest beat Sheffield to get a spot in the end of the season games was gotten on camera and one man has been captured. Timberland says the fan will be prohibited from matches for life after the assault.

“As an ex-Forest player I won’t let one slime ball ruin my regard for the Forest fans.

“Unimaginably pleased to be chief of this gathering of Sheffield United players, they did their absolute best and can hold their heads as high as possible. We will be back and go in the future. Gratitude for every one of your messages and backing after the occurrence.”

Nottingham Forest apologized to Sharp and said the fan would be restricted from the club forever.

“Nottingham Forest Football Club are horrified to discover that our previous player, Billy Sharp, was attacked leaving the pitch after this evening’s match at the City Ground,” it said.
