Sir Keir is scheduled to make a joint statement with the leader of the Scottish Labour Party, Anas Sarwar. In which he will announce that the headquarters of Great British Energy will be located north of the boundary.

According to the opposition leader, thousands of employment will be created in Scotland under a Labour proposal to establish a publicly owned clean energy company with its headquarters north of the border.

Sir Keir Starmer first outlined his plan to establish Great British Energy (GBN) as part of a strategy to transform the United Kingdom into a clean energy superpower during his party conference speech in Liverpool last year.

If Labour wins the general election, the corporation will be founded in the first year.

Sir Keir Starmer claims a public renewable energy firm will employ thousands of Scots.

Sir Keir has disclosed that the headquarters of GBN will be located in Scotland.

He and Scottish Labour Party leader Anas Sarwar will discuss his party’s 2030 goal of cheap zero-carbon energy on Monday.

The two leaders are anticipated to discuss how Labour’s Green Prosperity Plan will provide three major benefits for Scotland:

  • Strengthening Scotland’s energy and industrial heritage
  • Doubling the amount of employment in low-carbon industries
  • By 2030, the creation of a sustainable energy system will save Scottish households $8.4 billion.
Sir Keir will state, “Scotland is the key to transforming the United Kingdom into a clean energy superpower, slashing energy costs, and creating tens of thousands of high-quality jobs.”

Our publicly listed energy company, GB Energy, will be headquartered in Scotland, the British energy hub.

“I mean it when I say that our energy plans will be developed in Scotland – reducing energy bills for Scottish families and bringing jobs and investment to Scottish communities that the SNP and Conservatives have neglected for far too long.”

Mr. Sarwar will state, “I am determined to leave our children and future generations a planet that is better than the one we have now.”

“However, to accomplish this, we must remove both of our ineffective administrations. And take immediate action, as time is running out”.

UK and Scotland’s most bold energy strategy in generations will produce a renewable energy revolution by 2030.

It will create 50,000 green energy employees in Scotland and reduce utility costs for working people.

Alan Brown MP, the spokesperson for SNP Energy Security and Net Zero, stated, “Whether it’s the Conservatives or the pro-Brexit Labour Party, Westminster politicians have used Scotland as an energy revenue cow for decades, so it’s laughable that they suddenly want to deliver a strategy for Scotland.

“The damage caused by Westminster’s control in Scotland has already been done. Keir Starmer’s piecemeal proposal is too little, too late, and demonstrates precisely why Scotland requires complete independence.”
