State leader Narendra Modi on Tuesday pursued a prompt truce in Ukraine and return to the way of exchange and tact to determine the emergency, even as his Danish partner Mette Frederiksen trusted that India will take advantage of its leverage over Russia to end the conflict.
Addressing correspondents after reciprocal discussions, Modi said he talked about the Ukraine emergency and pursued a “quick truce” in Ukraine.
“We pursued prompt truce in Ukraine and return to discourse and tact for settling the emergency,” Modi said.
Frederiksen trusted that India will impact Russia on Ukraine and asked Russian President Vladimir Putin to “stop this conflict and end the killings”.
“My message is extremely evident that Putin must stop this conflict and end the killings. I, obviously, trust that India will impact Russia additionally in this conversation,” he said.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is requesting a truce in Ukraine and is encouraging Kyiv and Moscow to participate in harmonious talks.
Modi, at present on a visit to Copenhagen to meet his Danish partner, says India needs “a quick truce in Ukraine and for the reception of discourse and strategy to determine the issue”.
