Mr. Davies, 63, has intermittently served as an MP since 1997. He represents Swansea West on the House of Commons Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs Committee.

Geraint Davies, a member of Parliament for the Labour Party, has been “administratively suspended” pending an investigation into reports of “extremely serious allegations of completely unacceptable behavior.”

In a report published on Thursday by Politico, allegations concerning the 63-year-old were revealed.

Mr. Davies was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1997, but he was absent from 2005 to 2010. Currently, he represents Swansea West.

Stephen Kinnock, the shadow immigration minister, told, “I would urge the women affected by this to come forward with formal complaints because, if something untoward has occurred, we need them to formally make that complaint so that the whole thing can be investigated in an independent, efficient, and confidential manner based on treating their complaints very, very seriously.

And I do expect that will transpire.

According to my understanding, no formal complaint has yet been filed, making it difficult to proceed forward.

I sincerely expect that this will occur.

A spokesperson for the Labour Party stated, “These are extremely grave allegations of completely unacceptable behavior.”

“We urge anyone with a complaint to cooperate with the Labour Party’s investigation.

“Any complainant will have access to an independent support service that provides independent, confidential guidance and advice from external experts throughout the process.”

After Neil Parish left last year, Mr. Davies chaired the House of Commons Environment, Food, and Rural Affairs Committee.

According to Labour Party policy, “If a member or person involved in our activities experiences any behavior. That they believe constitutes sexual harassment against them or anyone else. They are strongly encouraged to report it to us as soon as possible via the sexual harassment complaints portal.
