Patrick Grady, a member of the SNP, faces suspension from the House of Commons after a parliamentary investigation confirmed a claim of sexual misconduct.
The independent expert panel recommended that Mr. Grady be suspended from the House for two days due to the incident that occurred at a pub in 2016 during a work-related social event.

Mr. Grady was also ordered to apologize publicly in the chamber and privately to the person who filed the complaint.
An investigation conducted by the parliamentary standards commissioner, Kathryn Stone, substantiated a claim that Mr. Grady “made an unwanted sexual attempt towards the complainant, including groping and stroking the complainant’s neck, hair, and back.”
The lawmaker did not appeal the ruling.
