Conflicts between Israel and Hezbollah force airlines to cancel flights
Multiple airlines have stopped flights to Israel following the most intense confrontations between Israeli soldiers and the Lebanese militia Hezbollah since the beginning of Israel's war on Gaza. British Airways announced on Sunday that it will postpone all flights to and from Israel until Wednesday, while Air France said it would suspend services to Tel Aviv and Beirut until Monday. Etihad, Ethiopian Airlines, and Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz have also notified the cancellation of flights to Tel Aviv slated for Sunday.
Deadly attack in Germany: A number of people have been killed and injured
According to local media, a knife attack in the western German city of Solingen claimed the lives of many people. According to Bild, a guy randomly stabbed passersby during a fair in the city centre on Friday evening. Several more were also hurt. The perpetrator is thought to have fled the area, and police have initiated a manhunt. Police helicopters were observed hovering over the city.

Residents of a Massachusetts town are being warned not to leave their houses after dark due to the development of a deadly mosquito-borne virus. The Oxford Board of Health, a city of 13,300 inhabitants located about 50 miles southwest of Boston, has imposed an outdoor curfew in the hopes of reducing the number of individuals bitten by mosquitos carrying Eastern Equine Encephalitis. It comes after a resident became the first person to get the uncommon and incurable condition, known as 'Triple E', domestically in nearly four years.

The Italian coastguard also reported that Morgan Stanley chairman Jonathan Bloomer and US lawyer Chris Morvillo, as well as their wives Judy Bloomer and Neda Morvillo, had been found dead.
Canada’s rail stoppage threatens US supply lines
Critical supply chains are in peril across North America after a rail labour dispute in Canada resulted in the suspension of freight movement on the country's two main railways. Canadian National Railway (CN) and Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) locked out roughly 9,300 workers after midnight on Thursday (04:00 GMT) after failing to reach a late-night agreement with the Teamsters union. Canada exports almost 75% of its goods to the United States, the majority of which are transported by rail. A prolonged conflict could impede supplies of a variety of items, including grains and beans, potash, coal, and lumber.

In Pakistan ambush, gunmen with RPGs kill 11 police officers
The attack, which also injured seven police officers, was one of the worst against police in recent years. President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have condemned the ambush and urged authorities in Pakistan to take speedy action against those responsible. Local reports said at least 11 police officers were slain in an ambush by armed assailants in eastern Pakistan. Police say the attackers were armed with pistols and rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs), and seven additional officers were injured.
