The previous year’s ebook sales were significantly lower than they were during the height of the pandemic.

Nielsen BookData reports that digital book sales declined by 10% in 2022, while physical book sales declined by only 3%.

Last year, British consumers purchased 348 million books worth £2.5 billion. This was, however, less than in 2020 and 2021, when lockdowns lifted sales among readers confined to their homes.
