Vin Diesel accused, allegedly sacked assistant hours after

  • Vin Diesel faces assault allegation
  • Former assistant claims misconduct
  • Lawsuit filed, seeks justice

In 2010, a former assistant to Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel made allegations of sexual assault against the actor. She stated that she felt like a “piece of trash” after the alleged incident.

In 2010, Vin Diesel’s former assistant from Fast and Furious levelled a sexual assault allegation against him.

Astra Jonasson asserts that the actor forcibly touched her in an Atlanta hotel suite during their collaboration on the film Fast Five.

Her lawsuit alleges that after Diesel forcibly placed her on his bed, she attempted to flee the room, but the actor allegedly molested her and performed a sex act on himself.

She claims she was terminated from her job mere hours later, and her self-esteem was “demolished” and she felt like a “piece of trash.”

The lawsuit alleges that she perceived her dismissal as unjust, given that Vin Diesel had exploited her for his own sexual gratification and she had opposed his sexual assaults.

Legal Action and #MeToo Impact

Ms. Jonasson asserts that the incident transpired subsequent to Diesel’s lodging of several women in his hotel suite during the evening.

The lawsuit states that Vin Diesel disregarded Ms. Jonasson’s unequivocal declarations of non-consent regarding his sexual assaults.

Her attorneys assert that Ms. Jonasson abstained from speaking for years “out of fear of being shunned from the industry for speaking out against one of the highest-grossing actors in the world.”

According to a statement by Ms. Jonasson’s attorney, Claire-Lise Kutlay, shielding powerful males from responsibility makes it impossible to end sexual harassment in the workplace.

We earnestly wish that her audacious choice to disclose her situation contributes to an enduring transformation and enables fellow survivors.

Ms. Jonasson is suing Diesel and his company, among other things, for negligent supervision, unlawful termination, and creating a hostile work environment.

Since revelations surrounding disgraced film producer Harvey Weinstein sparked the #MeToo movement in 2017, numerous women have come forward to accuse prominent figures in the entertainment industry of sexual misconduct.

Since the inaugural installment of the Fast And Furious franchise in 2001, Diesel has portrayed Dominic Toretto.

The films have achieved phenomenal success both domestically and internationally, grossing over $1 billion (£788 million) each in the two most recent installments.

Fast X, the tenth installment of the franchise and featuring Diesel, debuted earlier this year with $67.5 million (£53.2 million) in ticket sales.
