DeuxMoi’s 1.7 million Instagram followers spread anonymous celebrity information.

Want to know which celebrities are dating whom? Who will supposedly headline Glastonbury and who will be the next James Bond? Which celebrities are most likely to leave a generous tip in a restaurant? The place to find out is DeuxMoi, the anonymous Instagram account with 1.7 million followers.

On March 21, 2020, the unidentified woman behind the Instagram account known only as DeuxMoi uploaded a message to an inactive account.

“Ok, better than… my great and captivating remark… DM me any (first or second-hand) celebrity anecdotes you’re willing to share.” It did not take long for comments to arrive, encounters to be recounted, and followers to multiply.

To many, DeuxMoi is the go-to source for pop culture, sharing behind-the-scenes stories, anecdotes, and rumors from insiders, as well as celebrity sightings, casting information, and information about who tips well and who doesn’t at restaurants. Tipping, particularly the disparity between British and American celebrities, is a controversial topic.

Followers submit their experiences and inside information, and DeuxMoi reposts their stories, occasionally removing a name or identifying information if the sender does not wish to be identified. These are regarded as “blinds” because they require followers to conduct their investigation.

Instagram followers spread anonymous celebrity information

The anonymous woman claims her work is mostly harmless and not portrayed as fact or as if she is an expert, but “in actuality, the audience is on the same trip as I am to uncover the truth behind a rumor. We are in this together”.

TwoMoi clarifies that she is neither a journalist nor a Hollywood insider. “Pop culture curators,” states the bio. “Some of the claims stated in this report have not been independently verified. This account makes no assurance that published information is factual.”

However, many of the adherents are. Many are willing to tell the beans, including publicists, assistants, nannies, record label employees, TV runners, restaurant workers, and even celebrities themselves. As a result, DeuxMoi has broken major celebrity news first, including the connection between Olivia Wilde and Harry Styles and the split between Kim Kardashian and Kanye West.

While some celebrities are not fans, others cannot get enough. Cardi B and Chrissy Teigen are among the account’s followers, and Drew Barrymore recently conducted an interview with Deux for her podcast, Drew’s News. Kardashian herself has reportedly referred to the account as “the Bible.”

Now there are goods. A podcast. A recently published novel titled Anon Pls is about the request by all tidbit submitters to remain anonymous. And according to rumors, an HBO drama is in the works.

Beyond mere gossip?

There is a clear justification for sharing unconfirmed stories publicly. DeuxMoi looks to have filled the void left by the downsizing of many celebrity gossip magazines of the 2000s, but with 1.7 million followers and climbing, there is certainly a demand for it.

The majority is low-stakes. The “blinds” are for less important content. In an era in which the wealthy and famous have near-total control over the content they publish on social media, it appears that the appeal of this stuff is that it is unfiltered. According to DeuxMoi, the account is not limited to chatter. She explains that when the disease spread and individuals were confined to their homes, it fostered connectedness.

“Drew, she grasped the humanitarian aspect of it,” she adds of her interview with Barrymore and the celebrity’s affection for the site (she is also among its followers).

“During quarantine, when everything was shut down, people sent in stories from five, ten, and twenty years ago; it was almost a study of human connection. For example, how specific superstars would connect with their fans or how they would be at various stages of their careers. Drew seemed to get this part of the account and did not dismiss it as mere gossip, since I believe it to be more than that.”

While there has been much speculation regarding her identity, with various names reported in the United States, DeuxMoi asserts that it is irrelevant who she is. “I do not believe it is a significant factor. I am not posting anything about myself.”

Fourth album in November 2021

She states that she resides in New York and does not alter her voice, so I am hearing the genuine DeuxMoi. She identify is known by approximately twenty intimate friends and family members. Initially, she had a job and ran DeuxMoi at the same time, living under continual “anxiety” for fear of being discovered. Now, the task is DeuxMoi.

While she remains unnamed, most celebrities are undoubtedly familiar with DeuxMoi. Adele joked about dating troubles in an interview with Rolling Stone around the release of her fourth album in November 2021. “You cannot arrange a blind date for me! I’m thinking, “How will that work?” The photographers will be outside, and someone will phone DeuxMoi, or whatever the f name is! It will not happen.”

Rihanna will headline Glastonbury and the next Bond…

Recent posts on the account mention two rumors: Rihanna reportedly headlining Glastonbury and Aaron Taylor-Johnson being designated the new James Bond.

She begins with Rihanna: “I want it on record that I’m not sure how accurate that information is. But she has new music and is performing at the Super Bowl. Her name has been suggested for the Coachella festival. Someone wrote to say she was on the verge of confirming. However, I would want to state that I do not know how credible that information is so as not to raise anyone’s hopes.”

Regarding British actor and Marvel star Aaron Taylor-Johnson, she feels more assured. “Yesterday, someone sent me a message with some information that I cannot reveal because it would likely expose them. But he is strongly considered, if not already selected.”

The Bond information “came from someone I’ve been corresponding with for years. And they’ve provided me with information in the past,” she claims. The information about Glastonbury came out of the blue from someone I don’t know. This is how she distinguishes between “reliable” and “not very dependable” or “knowingly unreliable”

As a result of their breakup, Styles and Wilde’s references in her communications have recently increased. “People believe they faked their breakup,” she says. Therefore, there is interest in that.

Brands want to be connected with DeuxMoi

As the account has developed, she now views other individuals to be reliable information sources. “I will not give a specific number, but there are a few people I trust completely.”

With 1,7 million followers, a sense of responsibility must exist. She claims there are certain topics and celebrities that she will not discuss. “I prefer not to post on a person’s sexual orientation unless it has been discussed in public. And anything involving a person under 18 years of age. Additionally… I would not feel comfortable posting on matters related to rehabilitation.”

She states that she also shares material that may have legal ramifications. However, she will sometimes provide it to journalists for investigation. And five celebrities will not be featured in DeuxMoi articles. She says two who have made their feelings public and three with whom she has had private discussions.

However, some celebrities and brands want to be connected with DeuxMoi. The brand she has created has gained her invitations to a variety of elite events. She states that she cannot accept. “I’ve been out in New York to restaurants frequented by celebs, which I frequently write about. And I’ve sat extremely near to celebrities I DM with, which did not make me feel good.”

The celebrities on DeuxMoi’s lovely list.

Following the publication of Anon Pls, a novel based on the premise of DeuxMoi that combines the experiences of imaginary and actual celebrities. preparations have begun for the television show. She states that Greg Berlanti is producing [The Flight Attendant, Batwoman, Free Guy, and Dawson’s Creek]. “They are now securing writers, but I cannot reveal who was named to me because the contract has not been signed, sealed, and delivered. But it’s so cool and exciting!”

DeuxMoi concludes the conversation by asking the question that everyone who works in the entertainment sector is frequently asked: who are the nice celebrities?

Reiterating that these are not based on her personal experiences. But rather on positive intelligence, she recites a list of names: Drew Barrymore, Paris Hilton. Hugh Jackman, Mark Ruffalo, and Julianne Moore”. I’m not sure whether this is going to be controversial. But Will Smith was often a subject of fan-submitted anecdotes in which he was described as being incredibly kind to everyone he met.

“Tom Cruise is another someone who handles himself in a similarly professional manner. Oh, and Harry Styles, without a doubt. Those, in my opinion, stand out. Colin Farrell’s name is frequently mentioned. Oh, also Rupert Grint, and Daniel Radcliffe. The Harry Potter children are always kind. Additionally, the Jonas Brothers.”

She says that you must evaluate “what type of environment it is… is it a red carpet event? Naturally, a star will be polite at a red carpet-event!

And DeuxMoi is diplomatic with the unpleasant ones, opting not to identify names. “I have no personal experience with these individuals. Someone might have caught them on a bad day if you catch my drift. Aren’t we all human?”
