Kailia Posey: Toddlers and Tiaras star, 16, ‘settled on the rash choice’ to end her own life, says family

In an articulation the teen’s family said she had taken her own life in “one careless second”.

Ms Posey featured in the TLC reality series which ran from 2009 to 2013 and highlighted families who arranged their kids to contend in excellence expos.

She turned into a famous GIF when a clasp of her ear-to-ear smile became a web sensation.

In an explanation to TMZ, her family affirmed the young person had ended her own life only days subsequent to going to her secondary school prom.

“In spite of the fact that she was a refined young person with a splendid future in front of her, sadly in one careless second, she pursued the rash choice to take her natural life,” they said.

“She won endless crowns and prizes in the wake of contending on the show circuit as long as she can remember … Her profoundly acclaimed ability as a flexible performer had previously prompted proficient visiting propositions for employment, and she had as of late been chosen to be a team promoter at her secondary school the following fall.”

In a Facebook post on Tuesday Ms Posey’s mom, Marcy Posey Gatterman, stated: “I don’t have words or any contemplations. A lovely child young lady is no more.

Kindly give us protection as we grieve the deficiency of Kailia. My child for eternity.”

On Sunday, Ms Gatterman posted pictures of Ms Posey in a story length shimmering dress as she went to her prom.

The family has set up an asset in her name to fund-raise to give assets to understudies in emergency.
