Twenty years have passed since the release of This Is Me… Then, Lopez stated that her new album, This Is Me… Now, will be released the following year.

She stated that the new album, her first since 2014, will “chronicle the emotional, spiritual, and psychological journey she has undergone over the past two decades” as well as her life after her reunion with Affleck.

“Therefore, the entire message of the album is that love exists. This is genuine love,” Lopez stated.

“Now I believe that the album’s message is if you were wondering, if you have, like me at times, lost hope and almost given up, don’t. Because true love does exist and some things do last forever, which is true.”
