The Top Gun Warbird pilot briefly appeared at the coronation concert. On Sunday, he used the same aircraft to receive his MTV Movie & TV award.

Tom Cruise appears to have taken multitasking to a whole new level by simultaneously filming his coronation concert performance and his MTV Movie & TV award acceptance speech.

The MTV Movie & TV Awards were taped while the King’s concert was live from Windsor Castle.

Cruise delivered his prerecorded airborne messages while piloting his Top Gun Warbird aircraft while wearing the same pale blue shirt, aviator eyeglasses, green headphones, and headset.

Aside from the messages, the only difference between the segments was a prop added to the backseat for his MTV award acceptance speech: his golden popcorn trophy for best performance in a film for the blockbuster sequel Top Gun: Maverick from last year.

He went on to promote the upcoming summer release of the next Mission. Impossible film, telling moviegoers that “there’s just no better feeling” than entertaining them.

From the cockpit, Cruise said, “Pilot to pilot, Your Majesty, you can be my wingman at any time.”

Cruise saluted and sped away from the camera in the coronation concert scene.

The actor is an experienced aviator and was referencing the King’s time in the Royal Navy and RAF. Where he learned to fly both aircraft and helicopters.

During the concert, former James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan also accentuated the monarch’s “action man” side.

Brosnan stated in a pre-recorded video that the King had developed a “host of action man skills” over the years, as old footage of him skiing, windsurfing, and flying was played.

Bear Grylls said the King “even underwent Royal Marines commando training, one of the most difficult programmes in the world.”

The monarch served in the armed forces from 1971 to 1976 and is now the commander-in-chief of the British military. Personnel gave him three hearty applause on Saturday in the palace gardens.

It is not the first time that Cruise has appeared before the Royal Family.

He presented during the Queen’s platinum jubilee performance in Windsor last May.
