Conor McGregor, 35, has been sidelined from UFC competitions since July 2021, when a leg injury prevented him from facing Dustin Poirier.

A date has been established for the long-awaited return of Conor McGregor to the UFC.

On June 29, 29th, McGregor will return to the octagon at UFC 303, following an absence of nearly three years.

Michael Chandler will face the former UFC featherweight and lightweight champion, as confirmed by Dana White.

Saturday, after UFC 300 in Las Vegas, the UFC officially declared the welterweight combat. It will be a five-round contest that concludes International Fight Week.

McGregor, 35, has not competed in the UFC since July 2021, when he suffered a leg injury while facing Dustin Poirier. He has accumulated 22 victories and six losses in his career.

Half a year prior, he had engaged in combat with Poirier but was defeated.

Chandler, an opponent of McGregor’s, has an impressive record of 23 victories and eight losses.

Saturday, White stated that McGregor’s return had been “all about timing” about the fight.

“Timing is everything; there are numerous operations that occur in the background.” Chandler is prepared, whereas Conor is not.

“Recently, during one of the press conferences, we discussed this; he had a multitude of responsibilities that required his attention.

You don’t want him to accept a fight when he has an insane amount of obligations and cannot train at his full capacity, so here we are tonight.

McGregor starred in the remake of the 1989 film Road House just recently.
