Celine Dion ‘heartbroken’ after cancelling Courage World Tour

“It is best that we suspend everything until I am truly prepared to return to the stage… The Canadian singer declares as she cancels scores of concerts, “I’m not giving up and I can’t wait to see you again!”

Celine Dion stated, “It breaks my heart” after postponing the remainder of her world tour due to a rare neurological illness.

The 55-year-old Canadian singer is unable to perform due to stiff-person syndrome (SPS), an uncommon incurable progressive neurological disorder that “causes severe and persistent muscle spasms,” according to a statement on her website.

Friday’s statement read, “It’s not fair to keep postponing the shows. And although it breaks my heart, we should cancel everything until I’m truly ready to return to the stage.”

I want everyone to know that I’m not giving up… I cannot wait to see you once more!

“I’m so regretful to once again disappoint everyone. I’m putting in a lot of effort to regain my stamina, but touring is difficult even when you’re 100 percent.”

During the Courage World Tour, she was scheduled to perform in over 20 European cities this year and next. Including eight shows in the United Kingdom and six in Paris.

Her statement indicated that she was discontinuing them “with a profound sense of disappointment.”

“Celine is working hard on her recovery, but at this time she is unable to successfully prepare for and perform the remainder of the tour,” the statement continued.

Celine will play in all these European cities soon, but not yet.

Due to health issues, Dion, known for her power ballads Think Twice, Because You Loved Me, My Heart Will Go On, and It’s All Coming Back To Me Now, postponed a Las Vegas residency in 2021 and tour dates in 2022.

The "strong concern" expressed by foreign ministers of the Group of Seven (G7) nations regarding transferring weapon components and materials from Chinese enterprises to Russia in preparation for its military offensive in Ukraine has been documented. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken exhorted his counterparts on Friday at a meeting on the Italian island of Capri to increase pressure on China, which the United States accuses of assisting Russia's war effort by supplying critical components for weaponry.

Israel’s attack on Iran: Crisis demonstrates Iran-Israel miscommunication

The Israeli assault on Iran did not elicit the severe reaction that Western leaders, including US President Joe Biden, had anticipated. They have been advocating for Israel to establish a clear boundary in the perilous sequence of occurrences that commenced on April 1 with the assassination of a senior Iranian general in Damascus by Israel. The conflict in Gaza has persisted for over six months after the Hamas assaults on Israel, and it has extended to the vicinity encompassing the Lebanon-Israel border and the Gulf.
