“It is best that we suspend everything until I am truly prepared to return to the stage… The Canadian singer declares as she cancels scores of concerts, “I’m not giving up and I can’t wait to see you again!”
Celine Dion stated, “It breaks my heart” after postponing the remainder of her world tour due to a rare neurological illness.
The 55-year-old Canadian singer is unable to perform due to stiff-person syndrome (SPS), an uncommon incurable progressive neurological disorder that “causes severe and persistent muscle spasms,” according to a statement on her website.
Friday’s statement read, “It’s not fair to keep postponing the shows. And although it breaks my heart, we should cancel everything until I’m truly ready to return to the stage.”

“I’m so regretful to once again disappoint everyone. I’m putting in a lot of effort to regain my stamina, but touring is difficult even when you’re 100 percent.”
During the Courage World Tour, she was scheduled to perform in over 20 European cities this year and next. Including eight shows in the United Kingdom and six in Paris.
Her statement indicated that she was discontinuing them “with a profound sense of disappointment.”
“Celine is working hard on her recovery, but at this time she is unable to successfully prepare for and perform the remainder of the tour,” the statement continued.
Celine will play in all these European cities soon, but not yet.
Due to health issues, Dion, known for her power ballads Think Twice, Because You Loved Me, My Heart Will Go On, and It’s All Coming Back To Me Now, postponed a Las Vegas residency in 2021 and tour dates in 2022.
