“Our radio stations have a large void to fill and will pay tribute accordingly shortly. However, while they all come to terms with Jamie’s untimely death, they will continue to transmit the music he cherishes every day in his memory.

“Our deepest condolences are with his family and loved ones at this time.”

On Monday, Mr. Crick hosted his final Jazz FM afternoon program. His family, according to Bauer Media, reported that he perished after a brief illness.

“He gave me my first position in radio, and his wisdom, counsel, and unwavering support have shaped me in ways I cannot adequately describe. Forever grateful for the shared experiences and lessons learned.”
