Elon Musk, a tech magnate, has three children with the Canadian singer Grimes: son X, daughter Y, and a new baby boy with an unexpected name.
Musk disclosed he has a third child with Grimes.
The 52-year-old billionaire entrepreneur revealed the news in his new biography and confirmed the name of his newborn on X.
The name of the young child is Techno Mechanicus, or Tau for short.
Tau refers to the nineteenth letter of the Greek alphabet, the nineteenth star in a constellation, and a form of unstable subatomic particle.
The age of the infant was not disclosed.
The owner of X, formerly known as Twitter, and founder of SpaceX and Tesla has two children with Grimes, whose actual name is Claire Boucher, age 35.
Son X A-Xii Musk was born in May 2020, while daughter Exa Dark Siderael Musk was born via surrogate in December 2021.
They refer to them as X and Y, which are also the names of electric vehicles produced by Musk’s company Tesla.
The couple, who have an on-and-off relationship, have thus far proclaimed their children’s births several months after their arrival.

Musk had 11 children, although his first perished at 10 weeks of age from SIDS.
