After over two months in the Love Island villa, Ekin-Su Cuculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti were proclaimed the winners.
Ekin-Su Culculoglu and Davide Sanclimenti have been crowned this season’s Love Island champions.
The turbulent but passionate romance between the 27-year-old Turkish actress from Essex and the 27-year-old Italian business owner won over fans throughout the series.
In the final two, they defeated Gemma Owen, the daughter of former England footballer Michael Owen, and Luca Bish, while Indiyah Polack and Dami Hope placed third.
Tasha Ghouri, the first deaf participant in the competition, and Andrew Le Page tied for fourth place.
This year, ITV eliminated the possibility for the victorious pair to keep the entire prize money for themselves.
Ekin-Su and Davide entered the Love Island villa as bombshells early in the series, and although being initially attracted to each other, their connection was tumultuous, with the Italian labeling Ekin-Su as “fake as Louis Vuitton from China.
However, they finally became inseparable, called themselves “Italian snack” and “Turkish treat,” and declared their love for one another.
When the winners were revealed, Ekin-Su fell into tears and Davide said, “I can’t believe it.”
Laura Whitmore hosted the 2018 season of “Love Island.”
The current season of Love Island has been a rating triumph, with its premiere episode receiving the most viewers since 2019.
ITV has also confirmed that there would be two series of the show in 2023, one in South Africa and the other in Majorca.
