The One Direction star’s first solo performance at Red Rocks has been postponed due to “golf ball-sized” hailstones that have fractured the bones of several fans.

Tomlinson describes himself as “devastated” and sends “love” to the concertgoers who were injured by the unusual weather.

After the weather event, seven individuals were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and 90 were treated by first responders.

First responders who waited outside the amphitheater corroborate that some spectators were treated for broken hands and fingers, in addition to other injuries.

A Twitter user described it as “the most terrifying night of my life.”

A fan tweeted, “Hail began pelting people at Red Rocks, and my sister and I found shelter under a sign.” “I am bleeding and my cranium is covered in large bumps from the hail. “We hope everyone made it out unscathed.”

Several supporters were also left without transportation because their vehicles were damaged.

Some onlookers called the hail “golf balls,” and centimetres of it blanketed the outdoor venue’s floor.

After 8 p.m., concertgoers were instructed to seek sanctuary due to the delay in the One Direction member’s performance.

At 8.35 p.m., the all-clear was given, but another delay occurred at approximately 9.15 p.m.

At 10:25 p.m., the venue tweeted that the performance was cancelled and advised people to depart the amphitheatre safely.

Tomlinson’s staff also confirmed the event cancellation via Twitter, stating that “all ticket holders will be notified in due time.”
