The British rock star had just completed a tour in support of his 18th album. Which he recorded with Johnny Depp.
Tony Iommi, the guitarist for Black Sabbath, remarked on Twitter, “There can never be another Jeff Beck since he was such a kind person and an excellent, legendary, genius guitarist.”
Ronnie Wood, who played with Beck in the Jeff Beck Group, remarked that one of his “band of brothers has left this planet”. While Rod Stewart simply referred to him as “the finest.”
Paul Stanley, the leader of KISS, and Gene Simmons, the bassist for the band. Also paid tribute to the rock hero, with Simmons stating that “no one performed like Jeff.”

Beck rose to fame as a member of The Yardbirds before embarking on a solo career that encompassed hard rock, jazz, blues, and even opera.
He was recognized for his improvisation, affinity for harmonics, and the whammy bar on his preferred Fender Stratocaster guitar.
Beck received eight Grammy Awards and was elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, with The Yardbirds in 1992 and as a solo artist in 2009. His career spanned six decades.
He played guitar with Luciano Pavarotti, Rod Stewart, Macy Gray, Chrissie Hynde, Joss Stone, Imelda May, and Cyndi Lauper, among others.
Jimi Hendrix was a buddy of fellow guitar legend Jimmy Page, with whom he collaborated on multiple occasions.
In 2010, Joe Perry of Aerosmith declared him the “world’s best guitarist.” Rolling Stone placed him as the fifth-greatest guitarist of all time, and Joe Perry of Aerosmith labeled him the “best guitarist on the globe.”
He was born in Surrey in 1944 to a mother who worked in a chocolate factory and an accountant father. Beck was a member of several bands before joining the Yardbirds in 1965. Replacing Eric Clapton before being replaced by Jimmy Page.
The band released the singles’ Heart Full of Soul, I’m a Man, and Shapes of Things while Beck was a member.
