Hannah Spearritt and Paul Cattermole dated during their time with S Club 7 and briefly rekindled their relationship in 2015. In a recent interview, she expressed how enthusiastic he was about the band’s upcoming reunion tour.

Hannah Spearritt, a member of S Club 7, has paid tribute to her bandmate and “first true love” Paul Cattermole.

In the early 2000s, when the pop group had successes such as “S Club Party,” “Reach,” and “Don’t Stop Movin’,” the singers were friends before beginning a relationship.

On April 6, Cattermole was discovered dead at his home in Dorset, just weeks after S Club 7 announced a significant reunion tour to commemorate their 25th anniversary.

Spearritt stated for the first time about his demise that her ex-boyfriend was “so excited” to perform again.

“Even now, it’s still so raw,” she told The Sun. Even now, there are times when I can’t quite believe it’s real.

Spearritt discussed their relationship, stating that they became close during the band’s tenure in Los Angeles.

“He was my first true love,” she stated. I had a boyfriend before Paul, but I consider him to be my first genuine love.

The former couple was together for several years before breaking up and then reconciling for a few months in 2015.

Spearritt, speaking about the preparations for the reunion tour, expressed her happiness at the opportunity to see each other again after a separation of several years.

“I am grateful to have had that opportunity to reconcile with him,” she said. “Because I am aware that’s all we’ve ever desired… To have had the chance to see him, and to see him… well, he was unable to do the tour. He was so thrilled about the excursion.”

Spearritt, who is now a mother of two, continued by thanking admirers for their support since Cattermole’s death.

“The love that has been shown for him has been nothing short of phenomenal, but the timing is so tragic.”

S Club 7 encouraged supporters to donate to the National Youth Music Theatre “instead of flowers” after Cattermole’s death.

In addition to Rachel Stevens, Bradley McIntosh, Jo O’Meara, Jon Lee, and Tina Barrett, the band was scheduled to reunite in October for a 25th-anniversary tour of the United Kingdom and Ireland.

There were no suspicious circumstances surrounding Cattermole’s demise, according to the police.
