Fletcher’s bandmates shared insight about his demise on Twitter on Thursday night and stated: “We are stunned and loaded up with overpowering misery with the inopportune passing of our dear companion, relative and bandmate.

“Fletch had a genuine endearing personality and was dependably there when you wanted help, an enthusiastic discussion, a decent giggle, or a chilly 16 ounces.

“Our hearts are with his family, and we ask that you keep them in your viewpoints and regard their security in this troublesome time.”

Fletcher’s reason for death has not yet been accounted for.

He was brought into the world in Nottingham and moved to Basildon as a young man, where he framed the band that would become known as Depeche Mode with Martin Gore and Vince Clarke.

While Clarke left in the mid 1980s, Fletcher remained with the gathering all through its four-decade history, from its presentation collection Speak and Spell to 2017’s Spirit.

During this period, two of its collections arrived at number one in the graphs – Songs of Faith and Devotion in 1993 and Ultra in 1997.

Depeche Mode was enlisted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame quite a while back.

He tweeted: “Extremely miserable news today. Andy Fletcher of Depeche Mode has passed.

“I knew Andy and thought of him as a companion. We crossed a significant number of similar pathways as more youthful men.

My heart goes out to his family, bandmates, and DM fans. Tear Fletch.”

Ditty Decker, lead vocalist for the band T’Pau, portrayed Fletcher as “a wonderful person”, adding: “Sending all my adoration to his family companions and musicians.”

Modern metal supergroup Calling All Astronauts tweeted: “Omg! Fletch has passed on, Andy was a truly decent guy, I used to go to his eatery Gascogne off Abby Road, he was in every case truly cordial.

What’s more, obviously Depeche Mode have been a motivation to so many of us RIP.

Fletcher abandons a spouse, Grainne, to whom he was hitched for very nearly 30 years, and two kids, Megan and Joe.
