Cork City, for whom Ruairi Keating, son of Ciaran Keating, plays, extends its “deepest condolences to the entire Keating family during this extraordinarily difficult time.”
Ciaran Keating, the sibling of singer Ronan Keating, was killed in a car accident in County Mayo.
It is believed that Mrs. Keating was injured in the incident.
His son is a Cork City player. The football club tweeted that it was “profoundly saddened by the passing of Ciaran Keating, father of our player Ruair Keating.”
Cork City stated, “We extend our deepest condolences to Ruairi and the entire Keating family during this extraordinarily trying time.”

Saturday at 3.35 p.m., a two-vehicle collision occurred on the N5 at Ballymiles, near Swinford, near Swinford.
The other vehicle’s driver sustained significant injuries and was transported to Mayo University Hospital.
Each car’s passengers, a male, and a woman, are also being treated. It is not believed that their injuries are life-threatening.
Garda forensic investigators have also inspected the crime site and all involved vehicles.
