Travis Barker, who recently wed reality star Kourtney Kardashian, was admitted to a Los Angeles hospital on Tuesday. While neither the musician nor Kardashian has commented publicly, his teenage daughter Alabama has provided fans with an update.
Following his hospitalization, Travis Barker’s daughter thanked his fans for their “prayers and love” as it was reported in the United States that he is expected to “be okay.”
On Tuesday morning, the 46-year-old Blink-182 drummer, who recently wed Kourtney Kardashian, was seen being carried into the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on a stretcher.
The NBC-owned US entertainment channel E! cites a source close to Kardashian as saying that Barker is now “doing better.”
And his 16-year-old daughter Alabama Barker posted an Instagram photo of her hand next to her father’s, revealing his distinctive tattoo, with the caption, “Thank you guys for all of the prayers and love, I appreciate you all and love you all.”
“Yesterday, he was in excruciating pain, and he and Kourtney were both extremely concerned,” a source close to Kardashian told E! News. It was so severe that he could barely walk.
However, after spending the night in the hospital, Barker is reportedly “fine and doing better today.”
The source told E! that Kardashian was attempting to keep her husband’s spirits up: “Kourtney hates seeing him in excruciating pain and is attempting to lift his spirits.”
According to the US entertainment news website TMZ, sources close to the family reported that Barker, 46, was suffering from pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas), which doctors reportedly believe was caused by a previous colonoscopy.
Neither he nor the 43-year-old reality television star Kardashian has commented publicly on his illness.
Fans feared the worst after the celebrity tweeted on Tuesday, “God save me.”
However, some believed this may have been a reference to the lyrics of Machine Gun Kelly and not his illness.
Images obtained by TMZ showed Barker making a fist while being transported to the hospital on Tuesday morning.
Kardashian, who has changed her name on Instagram to Kardashian Barker, was seen by his side in a black tracksuit.
Following a “practice” wedding in Las Vegas in April, the couple was married in a lavish ceremony in Italy in May.
Barker has two children with his ex-wife, former Miss USA-Alabama Shanna Moakler, including 18-year-old Landon.
Mason, Penelope, and Reign are Kardashian’s three younger children with Scott Disick.
The couple, dubbed “Kravis,” became engaged in October after Barker proposed on a California beach with a bouquet of red roses.
