Adidas will investigate all claims Kanye West revealed pornographic material, an intimate photo of Kim Kardashian, and his sex films to Yeezy personnel during meetings and job interviews.
Adidas is investigating charges of wrongdoing against Kanye West, including claims that he showed workers pornographic and explicit photographs of Kim Kardashian.
The German sportswear firm, which discontinued its collaboration with the rapper last month, has received an anonymous letter containing several charges against him, according to a statement.
According to a Rolling Stone story, Kanye utilized pornography, bullying, and “mind games” to exert control over his crew.
Citing interviews with more than two dozen former Yeezy and Adidas employees, the magazine detailed allegations that West played pornography for Yeezy staff during meetings, discussed porn and showed an intimate photo of Kim Kardashian during job interviews, and showed Yeezy team members an explicit video and photos of Kardashian as well as his sex tapes.
In one claimed 2017 incident, Kanye allegedly yelled at a senior female employee, “Make me a shoe I can f***” after alleging the Yeezy trainers he was inspecting were not up to par.
The woman, who requested anonymity and declined to comment for the article, reportedly took a leave of absence before transferring to another position at Adidas.
According to the publication, it was these former team members who delivered the anonymous letter to Adidas, accusing senior corporate management of turning a “blind eye” to Kanye’s behavior and claiming they “shut off their moral compass.”
The letter is believed to also call attention to “the poisonous and chaotic environment” Kanye allegedly fostered, as well as “a very sick pattern of predacious behavior against women.”
A spokeswoman for Adidas told Reuters: “Currently, it is unclear whether the allegations mentioned in an anonymous letter are accurate. However, we take these allegations extremely seriously and have decided to immediately initiate an independent investigation into the matter to address them.”
Union Investment, one of Adidas’s largest shareholders, wrote to the business earlier in the week requesting further information about the charges and when the internal allegations were first brought to management’s attention.
West’s fashion brand Yeezy was initially founded in 2009 in conjunction with Nike but was shifted to Adidas in 2013. Kanye stated at the time that the reason was a dispute over royalties.
West has previously discussed his “pornography addiction” in public, stating that it “destroyed my family.”
He and Kim Kardashian divorced after six years of marriage. She is also the mother of four of his children.
The rapper’s bank, JP Morgan, severed connections with him after he made antisemitic remarks on social media. This resulted in his agent firing him and JP Morgan severing links.
Balenciaga, Foot Locker, and Gap have also terminated their relationships with the performer.
Meanwhile, West declared his candidacy for the US presidency in 2024 and asked Donald Trump to be his running partner.
West also ran for office in 2020, but missing deadlines and a lack of signatures prevented him from appearing on the presidential ballot in most states.
Kanye West has been asked for his opinion.
