- Aaron Taylor-Johnson potentially next James Bond
- Aeon Productions awaits his formal acceptance for the role
- Taylor-Johnson praised, seen as fit successor to Daniel Craig
Previously, the 33-year-old actor, well-known for his roles in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Kick-Ass, described rumours that he was dating James Bond as “enchanting and marvellous.”
Reports indicate that Aaron Taylor-Johnson is positioned to play James Bond in the future.
The 33-year-old actor, renowned for his roles in films including Avengers: Age of Ultron and Kick-Ass, has yet to accept the iconic character formally. However, a source confirmed to The Sun that “Bond is Aaron’s job, should he choose to accept it.”
“The formal offer is on the table, and they are awaiting a response,” the source continued.
It has been reported that Aeon Productions, the company that produces the James Bond films, is also developing a script for a new 007 film.
A source for The Sun further stated that Aeon is certain Aaron will sign his contract within the next few days, at which point preparations can commence for the momentous announcement.
Taylor-Johnson is “an extraordinarily gifted actor,” according to another source. They indicated he was the “perfect person to play Bond and will pick up well from where Daniel Craig left off”.

Numerous magazines inquired of Taylor-Johnson last week regarding rumours that linked him to the role. He replied, “I find it delightful and endearing that individuals perceive me in that capacity. It is indeed a tremendous compliment.”
Following the release of No Time to Die, Daniel Craig hung up his tuxedo, sparking speculation as to which actor will succeed him as the seventh to portray the agent in the official films.
If his selection is confirmed, Taylor-Johnson would follow in the footsteps of Sean Connery, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Craig by assuming the role.
In 1962, Connery starred in the inaugural official film Dr No.
Long rumoured to play the role, Idris Elba, 51, stated in September that “reprehensible” remarks about his ethnicity dissuaded him.
He stated on the SmartLess podcast, “Those who were opposed to the concept rendered the entire incident abhorrent and repugnant due to its racial connotations.”
