English creator Jack Higgins, who composed The Eagle Has Landed and other top-rated spine chillers and reconnaissance books, has kicked the bucket. He was 92.

Distributer HarperCollins said that Higgins kicked the bucket at his home on the English Channel island of Jersey encompassed by his loved ones.

Conceived Henry Patterson in Newcastle, England, in July 1929, Higgins served in the military prior to concentrating on human science at the London School of Economics.
