As the bank holiday weekend approaches, sections of the United Kingdom are expected to bask in temperatures of up to 25 degrees Celsius.

The United Kingdom may experience the hottest day of the year, with temperatures predicted to be higher than Malaga.

The Met Office predicts that by Thursday, portions of the country could be basking in 24C (75.2F) or 25C heat.

That would surpass the UK’s current annual high temperature, which was recorded on Sunday in Porthmadog, Wales, at 23.3 degrees Celsius.

It would also be warmer than Malaga, the capital of Spain’s Costa del Sol. Where temperatures are expected to meander around 23 degrees Celsius.

Temperature peaks are anticipated in parts of east Wales, the West Midlands, and the South West on Thursday.

According to the Met Office, a “notably dull” spring will be followed by sunlight.

Oliver Claydon, a spokesman for the Met Office, explained that the sunnier weather is due to the continued dominance of high pressure over the United Kingdom, and the current forecast indicates that this will continue into next week.

“This means a great deal of settled weather with dry, sunny conditions for many,” he said.

He added that the North West could experience brief periods of cloud cover and light precipitation, which will soon dissipate.

Temperatures are anticipated to remain above average through mid-June, but there may be thunderstorms and extended periods of rain.
