  • Apple plans iPad overhaul
  • Features OLED, M3 processor
  • Targets declining sales

Apple is anticipated to implement substantial changes next year to reverse declining sales.

Reportedly, the technology behemoth will redesign its iPad to make it more streamlined and quicker than ever before.

For the first time, the iPad Air will be available in two configurations, with the Pro model featuring OLED displays and the faster M3 processor, also found in MacBook Pros.

As consumers reduce non-essential purchases in response to persistent inflation and high financing costs, the iPad has experienced a sales decline for several quarters.

Moreover, consumers have become weary of the mediocre enhancements occurring annually.

Apple releasing new iPad to boost tablet sales

Due to sluggish demand for iPads and accessories, Apple provided a holiday-quarter sales forecast last month below Wall Street estimates.

In contrast, its Mac division has been contending with a more extensive decline in the personal computer industry.

The iPads are anticipated to be released by the end of March, according to a Bloomberg News report. Apple is also reportedly updating the iPad Pro’s Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard.

OLED Display and Size Options

The inclusion of an OLED display will, according to the report, “make the iPads crisper and brighter and reproduce colours more accurately.”

This screen was first featured on the 2017 iPhone X by Apple.

Users can also choose between an 11-inch and 13-inch tablet, the latter being the largest.

The report also speculated that the Magic Keyboard, which converts the iPad into a laptop, might be redesigned and that the trackpad might be enlarged as part of the upgrade.
