YouTube Premium Benefits and Customer Reactions
Users of YouTube Premium can view videos ad-free, download them, and use them in the background of other applications.
Although the price increase won’t take effect until November 21, several dissatisfied customers have already expressed their displeasure on social media, with some even threatening to cancel the service.
Customers of YouTube Premium were informed via email of the impending price increase.
Before the UK, customers were notified via email regarding the impending pricing increases, with customers in the United States and Canada being the initial recipients.
YouTube’s Explanation and Feedback Page

It further stated that the price increases were necessary to “maintain the provision of exceptional service and features.”

YouTube has apparently established a new page with the explicit purpose of gathering “feedback regarding the YouTube Premium price change” in response to potential negative backlash.
Irate users on X (formerly Twitter) lamented that the price increase compelled them to discontinue their usage of the platform.
“As a result of the price increase, I am canceling my YouTuber premium,” stated one user.

“They are completely detached from reality.”

Disney+ in the UK previously cost £79.90 a year, or £7.99 per month.
In the interim, Netflix declared last month that it was increasing its prices for millions of customers in the United Kingdom, with some now being required to pay monthly fees of up to £17.99, or an additional £2 per month.
The cost of its premium, ad-free plan has increased by £2 to £17.99 per month in the United Kingdom. The standard subscription will continue to cost £10.99 per month.
