People have expressed dissatisfaction on social media as they head to work without their coffee fix, with others calling it ‘total mayhem.’
The DownDetector outage map indicates outages in Boston, New York, Washington, DC, Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles, Tampa, and other important cities.
Approximately 91 percent of the problem is caused by the app, with seven percent of users reporting that they cannot log in to their accounts and two percent unable to checkout.
At least 33 million Americans use the app, although the number of affected users is unknown.
The app provides mobile ordering, payment, and incentives that can be redeemed for free food and beverages.
