Gradient Ventures, a fund established by the tech giant, is spearheading a $2 million fundraising effort for Jitty, a new service that will simplify the home-buying process.

Google’s artificial intelligence fund has funded a new property search engine startup founded by three former Deliveroo executives.

Jitty will announce this week that it has raised $2 million from investors headed by Gradient Ventures, the artificial intelligence fund established by the global technology giant.

Jitty, aimed to homebuyers, uses LLM and computer-vision to scan floor layouts and understand photos and descriptions of homes.

Before its debut, it had amassed a waiting list of thousands of users.

Jitty, unlike many competitors in the online property search market, does not charge estate agents listing or inquiry fees.

According to the company, this will enable it to better meet the needs of homebuyers, and the sophistication of its AI capabilities will provide a comprehensive property market resource.

Graham Paterson, James Storer, and Daniel Cooper, who had all previously worked for Deliveroo, co-founded the business.

Mr. Paterson stated, “All three co-founders have purchased homes in the past few years, and we could not believe how terrible the process was at every single step.”

Some parts, such as being in a chain or having complex legal issues, are difficult to solve, but understanding the market and providing a wonderful user experience should be simple.

Other investors in the Jitty funding round included the scouting divisions of prominent venture capital firms such as Sequoia and Atomico.

Several notable venture investors have also contributed.

Jitty will debut in the United Kingdom before expanding to other European markets.

“Artificial intelligence and, more specifically, large-language models, are bringing new experiences and workflows to all aspects of our lives,” said Darian Shirazi, general partner at Gradient Ventures.

We are thrilled to collaborate with Graham and the Jitty team as they use LLMs and computer vision to thoroughly reinvent the home-buying process.
