The iPhone 6S and later, newer iPads, and Macs running macOS Monterey or later are susceptible to the weaknesses, which might grant complete access to the devices.
Apple has exposed critical security flaws in iPhones, iPads, and Macs, which could allow attackers to seize entire control of affected devices.
Apple stated that it is “aware of reports that this vulnerability may have been exploited.”
Experts in information security have encouraged consumers to immediately upgrade concerned iPhone 6S and later handsets, iPads, and Mac computers running macOS Monterey.
It also affects some iPod models.
Apple stated in a security update on its support page that a malicious application “may be able to execute arbitrary code with kernel privileges” – which TechCrunch defines as full access to the device.
TechCrunch said that the second vulnerability, a WebKit flaw, could be exploited if a susceptible device browsed or processed “maliciously generated online content” that may result in arbitrary code execution.
Apple did not provide more details regarding the number of users affected by the vulnerability.
The warning comes ahead of Apple’s traditional September release of the newest iPhone, which is slated to be named the iPhone 14 this year.
