The British artist, who performed her popular song F*** You alongside teen star Olivia Rodrigo as a surprise guest at Glastonbury in protest of the US Supreme Court’s decision to eliminate the country’s constitutional right to abortion, made the remarks in an Instagram post.

Allen, a mother of two, stated that women who defend their abortions “play into the hands of the terrible guys.”

She added, “I wish people would quit providing examples of extraordinary reasons for having abortions.” “Most of the folks I know, including myself, just did not want to have a f baby. And it is sufficient to cause! WE ARE NOT REQUIRED TO JUSTIFY IT.

“It should go without saying, and I believe that all of these examples play into the hands of the bad guys.”

Allen, 37, joined Rodrigo, 19, on the Other Stage at the Glastonbury Festival on Saturday, a day after the Supreme Court overturned the 1973 landmark Roe v. Wade case.

Rodrigo stated that performing with Allen was “the biggest dream come true” but that she had conflicting feelings because she was “heartbroken about what occurred in America yesterday.”
