January may be a gloomy month, but the beginning of the year has become even more thrilling for affluent petrolhead enthusiasts who have a soft spot for exotic automobiles.
Because later this month, a rare and prized French engineering feat will be auctioned. However, its price will be prohibitive.
The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ is an exceedingly uncommon and fast road car globally, having been produced in a limited run of 30 vehicles that were sold to the general public.

The auction model is a once-in-a-blue-moon collecting opportunity, as only eight of thirty models have ever arrived in North America.
The automobile in question is ninth in the sequence and was delivered in February 2023 via Manhattan Motorcars.
The auction house expects the winning price to be $5 million to $5.5 million. Regarding us Britons, that is approximately £3.9 to £4.3 million.
Louis Frankel, representing Bonhams Cars, characterized the engine as “the epitome of hypercars.”
“Bugatti has an unmatched reputation for producing high-performance vehicles, and the Chiron Super Sport 300+ is emblematic of that automotive excellence,” he continued.
“We eagerly anticipate the surge of interest and enthusiasm that this item will undoubtedly generate when it is displayed at our Scottsdale auction.”
The Chiron Super Sport 300+ was initially priced at £3.1 million by the luxury French automobile manufacturer.
It is the first time one of these automobiles has been made available to the public.
Legendary Bugatti: Record-Breaking Speed Beast
It has 255 miles, 250 of which were likely utilized for Bugatti testing and five for the world’s most costly coffee delivery.

Former Le Mans champion Andy Wallace reached 304.77 mph at Ehra-Lessien in Germany in 2019. This surpassed the 300 mph barrier following a dispute.
Although the purchaser is paying to achieve an astoundingly high speed, this record-breaking vehicle underwent a number of one-of-a-kind modifications, including adjustments to the chassis, engine, and riding height.
One of Bugatti’s quickest road vehicles, the auction model is electronically limited to 237 mph.
The Super Sport 300+ is equipped with an 8.0-liter, 16-cylinder engine that features four turbochargers. It generates a staggering 1,577 horsepower; for comparison, a standard Vauxhall Corsa has a maximum output of 128 horsepower.
The pace is merely one component of the price; the car’s design also contributes to its desirability.
Bugatti’s attractively accented exposed carbonfibre bodywork is a poetic homage to the 2010 World Record Edition Veyron Super Sport. This edition held the title of the world’s quickest road production vehicle at that time.
