Gen-Z TikTokers viralize Bin Laden’s 2002 ‘Letter to America’

Osama Bin Laden’s open letter to the United States, in which he provides justification for the 9/11 terrorist attacks, has gone viral after pro-Palestine Generation Z TikTokers.

British Islamic extremists received the ‘Letter to America’ in 2002, one year subsequent to the heinous events. In this document, the leader of al-Qaeda attempted to rationalise the 3,000-plus fatalities that occurred in New York, Pennsylvania, and Virginia.

Video creators on TikTok and other social media platforms seem to have drawn a parallel between the views expressed by the 9/11 mastermind regarding Palestine and demonstrating solidarity with the Palestinian people during the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

A user expressed, “Upon reading it, it opened my eyes,” while another stated, “I believe this has demonstrated to many individuals that even ‘villains’ are capable of speaking the truth.”

Here is the complete letter:

In addition to “proactively and aggressively” removing the content, TikTok has initiated an inquiry into its appearance on the social media platform.

Osama bin Laden, eliminated in a May 2011 US operation in Pakistan, nevertheless expressed extreme anti-Semitic sentiments and conspiracy theories in the letter.

He claimed that the United States army “shamelessly assisted the Jews in their struggle against us.”

“Don’t miss out! Grab your free shares of Webull UK today!”

Additionally, he attempted to rationalise the indiscriminate killing of American citizens on the grounds that their tax payments indirectly supported American military efforts.

He wrote, “The taxes that fund the aircraft that bomb us in Afghanistan, the tanks that destroy our homes in Palestine, the armies that occupy our lands in the Arabian Gulf, and the fleets that ensure the blockade of Iraq are paid by the American people.”

In exchange for these tax dollars, Israel continues to launch attacks and invade our territory. Therefore, the funding for the attacks against the United States comes from the American people, who also have the ability to direct the expenditure of these funds as they see fit through their elected representatives.

Several users shared the digital edition of the letter on TikTok, ostensibly disregarding Bin Laden’s role as a terrorist warlord who inspired and instigated atrocities throughout the world.

Furthermore, the radical assertions that Bin Laden includes in his manifesto, such as advocating for the “rejection” of homosexuality and labelling AIDS a “satanic American invention,” fail to elicit any response from the majority of users.
